Firefighters urge evacuations near Desert Rose Golf Course

Posted: Updated:
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

People who live in the area of Walton Heath Avenue and Moortown Street near Desert Rose Golf Course were being advised to evacuate their homes Tuesday evening.

The Clark County Fire Department fears electrical fires will occur because of flood damage to homes in the neighborhood.

Firefighters went door-to-door, advising residents of 45 homes to evacuate.

A lawn maintenance worker disappeared at Desert Rose Golf Course Tuesday following the storm.

A search for that man was planned to resume Wednesday morning after flood waters receded.
