Flood rescue at Sahara and Sandhill - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

Flood rescue at Sahara and Sandhill

Posted: Updated:

FOX5 viewer Jonathan Melnick captured dramatic video Tuesday afternoon of a rescue in process at Sandhill Rd. and Sahara Ave.

Since about 1:40 p.m., the Clark County Fire Department responded to roughly 20 calls of people trapped in their vehicles by rising floodwaters.

In some cases the water was several feet high.

Rescues are still taking place though there are no reports of injuries.

Clark County Fire wants to remind people to stay away from flooded roads and intersections as the water may be much deeper than it appears.

A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for Clark County until 6:15 p.m.
