Gas leak prompts apartment evacuations

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

According to an official with Clark County, a gas leak has prompted the from four apartment buildings on Del Gado Drive, near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard.

People who have not been evacuated are advised to stay indoors.

Approximately 40 people are being kept from their homes. The Red Cross is at the site, ready to assist those who have been displaced.

The county said Clark County School District buses have been dispatched to give those who were evacuated a cool place to wait.

Southwest Gas is at the scene of the leak and is dealing with the line problem.

No injuries have been reported
