HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
Henderson Police have arrested two additional suspects linked to the kidnapping of 17-year-old Melissa Duran.
Duran was kidnapped from her home on Aug. 31 and rescued on Sept. 1.
According to Henderson police, a fourth suspect has been arrested in Melissa Duran's kidnapping.
FBI officials and the Vallejo Police Department were able to track down Jose Sanchez-Perez in connection to the kidnapping, arresting him at an apartment in Vallejo, California.
Alejandro Sanchez-Sanchez was detained last week outside of an apartment near Stewart and Eastern where Duran was being held, Henderson police said.
According to Henderson police, Mariano Sanchez-Sanchez was arrested Wednesday night in Henderson while Cesar Sanchez was detained last week. Sanchez is accused of letting the others use his car for the abduction.
Melissa Duran, 17, said she's known one of the men accused of kidnapping her for years, and he was a former employee of her father's landscaping business.
"When he would come in and pick up things like paychecks, and I would have little conversations like 'how are you' 'oh good, how are you' just little things like that," Duran said of Jose Sanchez-Perez. "A betrayal to him yes, definitely because my dad was such a good person to him and helped him out with a lot of things that he didn't have to."
Melissa's father told FOX5 the four men are cousins and that Sanchez-Perez quit working for his company just a few months ago.
"Probably some of the motive was money. They did make a ransom demand for the safe return of Melissa," Keith Paul from the Henderson Police Department said. "We do believe that all of the suspects do know each other in some way. They all lived in the same apartment complex."
Melissa said she's thankful detectives worked so quickly, and she can now sleep peacefully.
"I'm super thankful because if it wasn't for them and if they had not tried as hard as they did, like who knows what could have been," Duran said.
Henderson police said Jose Sanchez-Perez will have an extradition hearing in California. If he waives his right, he could be back in Las Vegas in a matter of days.
An immigration hold has been put in place for all four kidnapping suspects, according to the Henderson Police Department.
