Patient killed in ambulance rollover ID'd

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's office identified the woman who died after the ambulance she was in rolled over during a collision.

Dorothy Anita Gray, 63, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday afternoon while she was being transported to Mountain View Hospital.

According to North Las Vegas police, the Medic West emergency medical vehicle was approaching Craig Road on Decatur Boulevard about 10:30 a.m. The ambulance traveled through Craig with a red light, proceeding with caution, when a pick-up truck went through on a green light and t-boned the ambulance.

Five people in the ambulance and the driver of the pick-up were all transported to local hospitals.

The patient in the ambulance died at Mountain View Hospital. The other five received treatment at University Medical Center.

Authorities did not say if she died as a result of injuries in the crash or from her original medical episode, a heart problem.

The Clark County Coroner's office is expected to later release the cause of her death.
