HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
Six people were arrested for impaired driving as part of a DUI checkpoint in Henderson.
Henderson police said officers set up the checkpoint at St. Rose Parkway near Easter Avenue on the Friday before Labor Day.
According to police, 1,953 drivers entered the checkpoint, with an addition four people arrested from one car for drug possession and a driver cited for an open alcoholic container.
Henderson police reported a total of 19 DUI arrests over the Labor Day weekend.
Police said no deadly accidents were reported during the same period.
The enforcement was part of a "Joining Forces" program combining staff and resources among the various police departments in southern Nevada.
