LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will ring in 2013 on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas announced Tuesday the rock band's involvement in New Year's Eve plans at the Strip property.
The band's show is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. at the property's Chelsea ballroom. The hotel-casino said tickets, which start at $150, go on sale Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.
The band has not been back in the southern Nevada metropolis in more than seven years. The group, which is led by vocalist-guitarist Anthony Kiedis, was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The concert is part of a tour supporting the release of their album, "I'm With You."
The Red Hot Chili Peppers follows in the footsteps of previous Cosmopolitan/New Year's Eve concerts featuring Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z and Kanye West.
