Hearing set for ex-foster dad accused of lewdness

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

A preliminary hearing for a former foster father accused of lewdness was set for Oct. 22.

The court date was set during a hearing Tuesday for Marvie Hill, 37. He was released on $40,000 bond Aug. 31 after surrendering to police that same day.

According to North Las Vegas police, Hill was charged with 20 counts of lewdness and a count of child abuse in connection to allegations made by a boy under his care.

Detectives said the minor told them the incidents happened in 2008.

North Las Vegas police also said detectives are investigating additional alleged victims that maybe connected to Hill.

Hill's October hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in NLV Justice Court.
