LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police said a man was arrested Monday afternoon after barricading himself in a northeast Las Vegas home with a firearm.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, officers were called to a home near Pecos Road and Carey Avenue about 10 a.m. Monday.

Police said the armed person was threatening suicide. His sister and several children were in the home at the time.

Officers reported shots fired, resulting in a woman being shot in the arm. Police said she was transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

After several hours, the man still refused to come out of the home. A SWAT team entered the house and took the man into custody. Police said no officers sustained injury.
