Memorial held in honor of Vegas domestic victim

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Friends and family members paid their respects Friday to a Las Vegas woman who died after, what police called, a domestic disturbance.

Beverly McFarlane died at University Medical Center on Aug. 25, according to North Las Vegas police. Police said she had been in the hospital since Aug. 10, when officers responded to her home for a domestic disturbance.

Authorities did not specify her injuries.

McFarlane's family is collecting donations, hoping to Beverly in her hometown near Los Angeles.

Police continue to investigate her death.
