Stoney's dance hall moving closer to Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Famed Las Vegas country line dance hall Stoney's is moving closer to the Strip.

The owners of the country music haunt said it will open at the Town Square shopping district at 6661 Las Vegas Boulevard South in October.

An official said the saloon will operate in the southwest corner of Town Square, between Fry's and Old Navy. It was a space that was previously occupied by Eleven Spa, the official said.

Owners said the new Stoney's will be about 20,000 square feet, with a dance floor more than 2,500 square feet.

Stoney's had been operating at a shopping strip on Las Vegas Boulevard, south of Pebble Road and north of Silveradro Ranch Boulevard.

An exact grand opening date is expected to be announced later.
