Dog walker attacked, two schools locked down

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Two schools were on lockdown Thursday after two men jumped a man at Sahara and Town Center.

According to Metro, a man was walking his dog around 8:15 a.m. when two men got out of a vehicle and started beating him.

The men then got back into their vehicle and drove away.

As officers were called to the scene two schools in the area, Ober Elementary and Faith Lutheran were both locked down as a precaution.

A short time later officers arrested two people matching the descriptions of the beating suspects.

The lockdowns were lifted at both schools around 9:00 a.m.

Metro was investigating the incident Thursday morning. A motive for the incident was not released.
