LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

One person was hospitalized after a fire at a west Las Vegas senior living complex Wednesday.

According to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, the blaze was reported at the Sunrise Gardens Senior Living complex in the area of Valley View Boulevard and El Conlon Avenue just about 2:49 p.m.

Fire officials said crews found smoke in a downstairs apartment of a two-story apartment building. A woman was found unconscious in a common area and was transported to a local medical facility, officials said.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire in less than five minutes, LVFR said. The fire was confined to that one unit.

Three other people were being treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, according to fire officials at the scene.

Officials said the hospitalized woman was lighting incense near a mattress at the time. She had tried to put out the fire, LVFR said.

Damage was estimated at $10,500, CCFD reported.
