HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

A candlelight vigil memorial has been scheduled for Saturday for Will Mootz, the 17-year-old Green Valley High School student who was swept away in Pittman Wash during Wednesday's storm.

The memorial is set for 8 p.m. at Green Valley High School, 460 Arroyo Grande Boulevard in Henderson. Attendees will meet at the "Committed to Excellence" sign on the high school campus.

An account has been created for donations to the family at Nevada State Bank.

The Clark County Coroner's office Friday positively identified a body found in a wetlands area near Sam Boyd Stadium as Mootz.

According to Henderson police, the teen's body was recovered about 10:30 a.m. Friday by volunteers who had been searching for him since he fell into the flooded Pittman Wash two days earlier.

The body was found in an area of the wetlands nearly a mile east of Broadbent Boulevard, police said.

Authorities said Mootz was found on the ground, entangled in a group of trees and bushes, and covered in a light layer of mud and debris.

The coroner's office has yet to determine the cause and manner of death, police said.
