LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Batmobile is rolling into Las Vegas Monday, giving locals a chance to see one of the world's most famous vehicles in person.

The Dark Knight's ride arrives Monday to promote "Batman Live" at the Thomas & Mack Center in October. The Batmobile will be on display at the COX Pavilion Tunnel from 11:20 a.m. until 1 p.m. It will then move to the UNLV campus from 2-4 p.m.

The Batmobile has been designed specifically for "Batman Live" by legendary race car designer Professor Gordon Murray. Known for designing race cars for some of the most successful Formula One Teams, Murray applied that knowledge when designing this iconic vehicle.

"Batman Live" is a touring arena production starring the iconic DC Comics superhero. It features a cast of more than 40 actors and appearances by several classic Batman villains, including The Joker, The Riddler and The Penguin.

It will run Oct. 3-7 at the Thomas and Mack Center. Ticket prices range from $29.50 to $79.50 and can be purchased online or by calling 702-739-FANS.
