HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

Police have released the 911 calls placed Wednesday alerting them to the teen who fell into Pittman Wash and was presumably swept away.

More than 24 hours later, crews continue to search for the teen, identified as 17-year-old Green Valley High School student Will Mootz.

"I was filming the wash and I (saw) a man in the wash with his hands signaling for help," said one 911 caller.

"They're (rescue crews) looking for him in the location I saw him – he's way gone," the same called said in a follow-up call. "He was going 40 miles per hour with the water."

Air units from Las Vegas Metro police were also called to assist in the search, police said.

Authorities noted the Pittman Wash flows into the Las Vegas Wash in the east end of the valley.

Friends say the missing teen Mootz is an incoming senior at Green Valley High School and a member of the wrestling team.

Mootz was with a friend along the wash when he apparently slipped and fell in.
