LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Investigators with Las Vegas Fire and Rescue returned to the Original Pancake House in the city's west side, nearly a week after it was destroyed in a blaze.
LVFR Public Information Officer Tim Szymanski said the building's outdoor air conditioning unit was being removed in order for officials and insurance investigators to safely inspect the facility.
A two-alarm fire sparked on the 17-year-old business, located at Charleston and Decatur boulevards, in the early morning of Aug. 17.
Las Vegas Fire said the blaze burned mostly in the attic, causing the roof to collapse.
The cause of the fire, though, remained inconclusive, Szymanski said. He said a timeline on the investigation is indeterminate.
Szymanski noted Thursday the air conditioning unit appeared clean. Investigators are expected to examine the building's electrical system, he said.
