LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities released Monday the name of a 21-year-old who died after his moped collided with a sport utility vehicle.

Terrence Harris sustained multiple blunt force injuries as a result of the Aug. 11 accident, the Clark County Coroner's office said.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Harris' moped was northbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard, south of Symphony Park Avenue, driving in front of a 1999 Ford Explorer.

Police said Harris was in the far right lane when he started losing control of the moped. The Ford was attempting to change lanes on the left side when Harris was ejected from his moped and spilled out on to the roadway, Metro said.

The driver of the Explorer was not able to avoid Harris and he struck the 21-year-old, police said.

Harris was transported to University Medical Center, where he died a day after the accident, authorities said.
