Tickets available for president's visit to NLV

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

Free tickets are available for President Barack Obama's campaign event in North Las Vegas this week. The president is scheduled to speak at Canyon Springs High School Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Doors open at 7:00 a.m.

The president's North Las Vegas stop is part of a two-day campaign tour of Ohio and Nevada. Campaign officials say Obama will discuss his plans for creating jobs and growing the economy.

Obama is campaigning for re-election against republican frontrunner Mitt Romney.

The Wednesday event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entrance. One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are available at the following locations:
