LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Two men are dead and one woman is in critical condition after a single-vehicle rollover accident that occurred Sunday morning.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. on the 6500 block of West Centennial Center Boulevard, east of the intersection of North Grand Montecito Parkway.

Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicated a 2006 Nissan was traveling eastbound on Centennial Center Boulevard, from Grand Montecito Parkway, possibly racing an unidentified black sports car, according to police.

The Nissan failed to maintain its travel lane and slid sideways onto the center raised median in front of Prestige Chrysler.

The Nissan's right side impacted a palm tree causing the Nissan to rollover onto its roof.

The 21-year-old male driver and 19-year-old male front passenger of the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. The 22-year-old female passenger was transported to University Medical Center Trauma in critical condition.

Police said speed may be a contributing factor in this collision.

This is the 76th and 77th traffic related fatalities in LVMPD's jurisdiction for 2012.

The names of the victims have not been released.

Anyone with information on a black sports car, that may have been involved in a speed contest with the 2006 Nissan, is urged to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Fatal Detail, Detective P.
