Quarry accident victim identified

The Clark County Coroner's Office Monday released the name of a man killed during a crushing accident at a quarry in Sloan Friday.

The coroner's office lists 29-year-old Anthony Holden's death as accidental, noting crushing injuries.

An employee of Southern Nevada Paving told FOX5 that a man was crushed Friday at a quarry in Sloan, 10 miles south of Las Vegas. The employee wasn't able to provide any additional information.

A Clark County official told FOX5 that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration was investigating a death at a quarry in Sloan.

Clark County didn't release details about the deceased individual or the circumstances of the death Friday, but did confirm that authorities were called around noon to reports of a dead body at 5300 Sload Road.

Southern Nevada Paving is located at 5300 Sloan Road.

OSHA is a federal agency that monitors working conditions for U.S. places of work. The agency is called to investigate when an individual is killed in, or as a result of their work environment.
