LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The Nevada Department of Corrections and the White Pine County Sheriff's Office have launched an investigation into the death of a Las Vegas man sentenced to life in prison for killing a woman in April 2009.
Clayton Wrencher, 49, died at the Ely Station Prison. In a brief statement, officials reported that an "incident" led to Wrencher's death, but did not release any further details.
Wrencher was convicted of murder in August 2010 of stabbing 38-year-old Patricia McCreery at a home on the valley's east side.
