Suspect sought in NLV slaying

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

Authorities released Thursday the name of a man shot to death outside of a North Las Vegas store.

Daniel Chavez Garcia, 27, of Las Vegas, died of multiple gunshot wounds early Wednesday morning, the Clark County Coroner's office said.

Police said the shooting happened outside El Paso Market near Pecos Road and Owens Avenue about 12:30 a.m.

North Las Vegas police said officers responding to a call of shots fired found Garcia shot at the scene. He was transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111.
