LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Health officials in Clark County are using August to raise awareness for back-to-school immunizations.
The Southern Nevada Health District said it is continuing to push back-to-school vaccinations by offering shots at specialized clinics throughout the area during Immunization Awareness Month.
The vaccinations will help protect against whooping cough, Hepatitis A and B, Polio, Chickenpox and more, SNHD said.
The shots are required by Clark County School District and they will be needed before the school year begins on Aug. 27.
The Southern Nevada Health District will give shots at its location at 330 S. Valley View Boulevard, through Aug. 24 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Specialized pop-up clinics are also scheduled through the week before school begins.
You can find a list of clinics and information on required shots by accessing www.SNHD.info or calling 702-759-0850.
