LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

On Wednesday night, the housekeeping team from Mandalay Bay won the 23rd annual City Wide Housekeeping Olympics, hosted by the Las Vegas chapter of the International Executive Housekeeper Association.

Competitors from 16 hotels squared off in events such as bed making, the mop race and vacuum race.

This is the third straight year Mandalay Bay has won the overall title.

The event took place in their backyard, the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

"This is a time where we celebrate the people and they can get excited about doing their jobs, and they also show off their talents," said Las Vegas IEHA President Joel Moore.

The winning team gets queen size beds from Serta; second place finishers, Monte Carlo, won Sensor vacuum cleaners; third place finishers, the Palms, get $50 gift cards compliments of Shoes for Crews.
