Wal-Mart accepting donated school supplies

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The start of the 2012-13 school year is fast approaching and many Clark County School District students are in desperate need of supplies.

Fortunately, donating is easy. From now until September 1 you may drop off school supplies at six Las Vegas Valley-area Wal-Mart stores. Collection bins have placed prominently inside the stores.

After the deadline, the supplies will be picked up and distributed to at-risk students.

The participating Wal-Mart stores are as follows:

Lake Mead/Boulder Hwy (Henderson)
Sunset/Marks (Henderson)
Tropical Parkway (Ann/Centennial)
Rainbow/215
Ft. Apache/Tropicana
Eastern/ Serene
