It's not exactly "Pee Wee's Big Adventure," but one man's recorded pursuit of his stolen bicycle has attracted viewers on YouTube.
The Portland, Ore. man posted a video of a sting featuring the alleged thief of his bike.
The man who goes by the name "Simon Jackson" posted the clip on YouTube on Tuesday.
Jackson explains in the video his $2,500 custom bike was stolen from his home. He said he spotted it on Craigslist being sold in the Seattle-area.
Jackson, posing as an interested buyer, goes to Seattle with friends to record the confrontation with the person he believes stole his bike.
"Here's the deal. I'm from Portland and you stole my bicycle," Simon tells the alleged thief named Craig.
Craig tries to elude Simon and his friends. Simon continues to question Craig about the bike even as he is walking away from him. Craig is also recorded admitting he knew the bike was stolen.
"It's not illegal to buy stolen stuff. I looked it up, dude," Craig says on the video. "You don't go to jail for that…You got it back!"
Police eventually arrest Craig, charging him for felony trafficking of stolen goods.
"This is why you don't steal from bicyclists, because we care about our rides," Jackson says in the clip. "I will go 160 miles to get my $2,500 bike back!"
