LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

President Barack Obama is scheduled to return to Las Vegas, with his arrival expected on Tuesday.

Obama is slated to touch down at Nellis Air Force Base on Tuesday night following a stop in Reno.

The president will be in town through the night for a campaign event at Canyon Springs High School Wednesday morning.

The president was last in town on June when he addressed student loan affordability at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Obama's planned visit also signifies the escalation of the presidential campaign season.

Vice President Joe Biden, GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney and his designated running mate Paul Ryan have all made separate appearances in southern Nevada this month.
