Smith Center ticket sales through the roof - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

The Smith Center has brought new life to downtown Las Vegas, as soaring tickets sales have helped boost the local economy.
Around 150,000 tickets have been purchased and 65 shows have sold out, according to Smith Center representatives.
The sales have fueled spending at nearby restaurants.
"Mundo across the street at the World Market Center tells me their business is up 10 times since we opened," said Smith Center President and CEO Myron Martin.
The strong impact has employees fielding calls from agents and artists around the world, Martin added.
Tickets are still available for the center's Broadway series this fall.
