Dozens of people gathered outside Palo Verde High School Tuesday afternoon to protest while presumptive Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan spoke inside.
Congresswoman Shelley Berkley spoke out against Mitt Romney's running mate, saying Paul Ryan would be a poor choice for Nevada.
"Where does Paul Ryan stand? With corporations, big oil - with millionaires and billionaires in this country," Berkley said.
Berkley said she stands with the hardworking families of Nevada and that she disagrees with Paul Ryan's views on Social Security, healthcare and the federal budget.
Berkley is running for Senate against Republican Dean Heller.
