NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

The North Las Vegas Fire Department said shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday they responded to a train derailment at the intersection of Donovan Way and Tropical Parkway.

Upon arrival the fire department confirmed that there was a derailment of two tankers and two box cars.

Fire crews and members of Union Pacific found a very small leak from the tankers. One of the tankers contained alcohol, the second a fatty acid, the third carried lumber and the fourth was empty.

The leak was secured and contained at the site.

There were 18 fire department units and approximately 55 personnel that responded.

There were no reports of injuries to the train's driver or responding firefighters.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation.

Estimated damage costs are yet to be determined.

Union Pacific has ordered equipment from Utah that is currently assisting in getting the tankers and cars upright and removed from the tracks.
