LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
More than $43,000 in checks are expected to be distributed Wednesday as part of restitution in a home loan modification scam.
The office of Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto said the distribution was scheduled to be made as part of a news conference Wednesday in Las Vegas.
The restitution stems from a case involving the business "Save Your House."
The attorney general said owners conspired to knowingly and falsely promote the business as a foreclosure defense firm.
The news conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the Grant Sawyer Building.
