Caesars hosts back-to-school event for employees

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Caesars Entertainment is helping children of employees get ready for the new school year.

Nearly 30,000 Caesars Entertainment employees across nine Las Vegas resorts are invited to bring their children out for the complimentary day-long back-to-school event. Children of all ages will receive a branded backpack, book sets and various school supplies while enjoying entertainment and the opportunity to win prizes.

This is the third year Caesars Entertainment has sponsored the popular back-to-school event for its Las Vegas employees. Last year's fair was attended by 2,200 guests, more than half of which were children.

This is the first year the company sponsored an internal school supply drive to collect donations for children of employees. The drive, held in July, generated hundreds of school supply items and Caesars Entertainment matched all employee donations.

Various community organizations and local businesses are participating in the back-to-school event, helping educate families about physical, personal, professional and financial well-being.

A magician, author and dance troop were all scheduled to appear at Tuesday's event.
