LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Two drivers were sent to the hospital after one of them was driving the wrong way on U.S. 95 in northwest Las Vegas.
Nevada Highway Patrol reported the wrong way, head-on collision on the highway near Durango Drive just after 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Troopers said a woman had been driving against northbound traffic when she struck a man driving another vehicle.
First responding personnel operated a heavy rescue to get both drivers out of vehicles.
The two were transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The female driver was suspected of driving under the influence, but authorities did not say if she was put under arrest.
Northbound U.S. 95 was closed for some time at Centennial Parkway.
