NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

A woman was shot after a suspect opened fire at her car in North Las Vegas early Tuesday morning.

NLV police reported the shooting in the area of Cheyenne Road and Commerce Street about 2:30 a.m.

The 35-year-old woman was driving a vehicle when a suspect shot into the car multiple times, police said.

The woman was transported to University Medical Center in critical but stable condition. A man who was a passenger in the car was not hurt.

Police are seeking at least one suspect in the shooting, but a description of the shooter was not immediately disclosed.
