LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Sen. Harry Reid, D-NV, is among officials making an announcement ahead of National Clean Energy Summit 5.0 Monday in Las Vegas.

Reid's office said Monday that USDA Rural Development Undersecretary Dallas Tonsager and Nevada Rural Development State Director Sarah Adler would be on hand for what they're calling a major clean energy announcement.

The announcement is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Desert Research Institute's Rogers Auditorium. That's located inside the Atomic Testing Museum at 755 East Flamingo Road.

Sen. Reid headlined National Clean Energy Summit 4.0 in 2011.
