LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Tito Cleveland, 30, has been identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office as the man found shot dead behind the wheel of a car near downtown Las Vegas Sunday.
Metro police told FOX5 an on-duty police officer saw Cleveland's vehicle driving erratically on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Lake Mead Boulevard around 6:00 p.m. Sunday. The officer reported that the maroon Nissan Maxima looked to be unoccupied.
The vehicle collided with two vehicles before crossing the median into the northbound travel lanes. It then continued southbound, crossing all northbound travel lanes before entering a parking lot on the east side of Martin L. King Boulevard, according to police. From there the vehicle re-entered the northbound travel lanes and continued southbound until colliding with a third vehicle and coming to rest.
The officer approached the vehicle and found Cleveland slumped behind the steering wheel, shot several times. Police said he appeared to have been shot while in the car.
