LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A pet cat died after a fire at an apartment complex in east Las Vegas Friday.
Clark County Fire Department reported the blaze at the Avion Apartments in the 6900 block of E. Lake Mead near Hollywood Boulevard just after 12:30 p.m.
Officials said the fire was confined to one bedroom in a second story apartment unit.
A man and a woman were able to escape the fire.
A total of three pet felines were also inside. All but one survived, CCFD said.
The fire's cause is being investigated. Damage was estimated between $15,000 and $20,000.
