LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A wanted suspect shot Thursday by a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent outside a Las Vegas casino has died.

The Clark County Coroner's office confirmed Friday the unidentified person succumbed to injuries.

Authorities said the person underwent surgery at Sunrise Hospital after the shooting in the parking lot of Arizona Charlie's Casino at Boulder Highway and Twain Avenue.

FBI spokesman Patrick Turner said the suspect was wanted for robbery with a deadly weapon and a possibly pending warrant for murder.

Las Vegas Metro police spokesperson Bill Cassell confirmed those details, adding the person was in the process of being arrested for a May 31 armed hold-up at a fast food restaurant.

The suspect was also a person of interest in a July 22 homicide in the 2600 block of S. Decatur Boulevard, Cassell added.

The person may have shown a gun before he was shot, authorities said.

FBI officials have not yet released information regarding the suspect's death.
