LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The critically acclaimed Blue Man Group is looking for performers to play a new character in a Las Vegas production opening this fall.
An open casting call is being held Thursday, August 9 at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. interested performers can audition to play the part of Showbot, a futuristic and interactive character. The character will make its debut in Blue Man Group's new show Wednesday, October 10.
Criteria for tryouts:
- Female performers with a height of 5'3" – 5'5" only
- Small build, physically fit
- Performers/dancers/actors with a good sense of rhythm and physical theater experience
The new show at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino opens in October and Blue Man Group promises an experience never seen before.
Producers say the show was born of the creative urge to explore the unknown, and is a combination of science, comedy, music and vibrant visual effects. The show uses color, humor, music and technology to entertain audiences at the Monte Carlo Theatre.
