LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A 64-year-old driver was killed during a single-vehicle accident on Boulder Highway Tuesday morning. Las Vegas Metro Police were called to the accident along the 5700 block of Boulder Highway south of English Ave. around 10 a.m.
According to Metro the driver of a dark green GMC Suburban veered to the left of his lane and drove into the gravel median for an unknown reason. The vehicle made it back onto the roadway and began driving southbound in the northbound lanes of traffic before hitting a street light pole near English Ave.
The driver was taken to St. Rose De-Lima Hospital at 10:10 a.m. and pronounced dead at 10:35 a.m. Metro said a medical condition may have played a factor in the accident. The exact cause of death is pending examination by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Metro says three dogs were in the vehicle at the time of the wreck. The accident remains under investigation.
