LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Court proceedings in a lawsuit involving the home of Las Vegas entertainer Wayne Newton was put on hold Tuesday.
Proceedings were canceled, according to a Regional Justice Center public information officer. The court did not disclose a reason for the cancellation.
Newton and his wife were in court Monday as defendants in a suit brought on by their business partner Steven Kennedy.
Kennedy is suing the couple for breach of contract and fraud stemming from a home he acquired from the Newtons.
The couple claimed they sold their mansion to Kennedy's company CSD with hopes to transforming it into a museum.
That developer claims the Newtons agreed to move out, sparking a lawsuit when they didn't.
Proceedings are expected to resume Wednesday.
