NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
Ongoing bridge work in North Las Vegas is expected to shut down southbound Interstate 15 this week.
City officials said southbound traffic will be detoured off the interstate at Cheyenne Avenue. Motorists will then take a left onto Losee Road, left onto Lake Mead Boulevard and back to the southbound I-15.
The closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Tuesday and lasting through Friday.
Crews are expected to erect steel girders across the southbound lanes for the North 5th Street Bridge, officials said.
The bridge construction is expected to be complete next year.
