Driver hospitalized after semi-truck rolls over on the I-15

PRIMM, NV (FOX5) -

A truck driver is in critical condition after the semi-truck he was driving rolled off Interstate 15 and into the desert on Saturday around 3:30 p.m.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 15 southbound between Sloan and Jean.

Interstate 15 was temporarily closed to traffic for the landing of a rescue helicopter, and the driver was transported to University Medical Center.

The semi-truck was not attached to a trailer.

Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
