LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Drug enforcement officers raided a synthetic drug operation in Las Vegas as part of a first-of-its-kind nationwide crackdown on bath salts, "Spice" and other substances.

Members of the Drug Enforcement Agency and Immigration and Customs Enforcement made the take down this week in more than 109 cities. Authorities said retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers of synthetic designer drugs were targeted in the nationwide raid.

Agents struck at a drug manufacturing operation in Las Vegas. Officials, though, did not specify what was seized, how many arrests were made or where the raid took place.

The DEA said more than 5 million packets of finished designer drug were seized across the United States. More than 90 people were arrested in the nationwide operation.
