One person was driven out of his home after a fire erupted late Wednesday night.

Clark County Fire reported the blaze just after 10:30 p.m. near Tenaya Way and Flamingo Road.

The home's owner was inside the residence when the fire started in the attic.

He told FOX5 he was watching television when the upstairs smoke detector sounded.

The fire was contained to above the garage, the homeowner said. He believes faulty wiring was to blame.
