Several headlining Las Vegas performers are slated to help in a torch relay to support the Special Olympics.
Performers Donny Osmond, Taylor Hicks and Anthony Cools are some of the entertainers scheduled to help hand off the "Flame of Hope" with participating athletes at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
The relay scheduled Wednesday at 1 p.m. will start at the Reflecting Pool Fountain at the main entrance from Las Vegas Boulevard. The relay continues through the retail center, ending at the Atlantis Fountain/Aquarium. There, the Special Olympics Cauldron will be lit.
The relay serves as a celebration of the Special Olympics Nevada that took place last month. The event in Reno consisted of more than 3,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities competing in 19 competitions in 11 sports.
A fundraiser will also take place at the Forum Shops. A number of stores will donate a portion of Wednesday's sales to the organization.
