LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A car trying to flee a traffic stop rolled over and crashed in a parking lot early Wednesday, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
Authorities said an officer attempted to pull over the car in the area of Charleston Boulevard and Rancho Drive at about 3:44 a.m., but the driver refused to stop.
After speeding away from police, the vehicle hit a dip in the road, struck a light pole and flipped over, landing in the parking lot of a Smith's grocery store, officials said.
A man and a woman were transported to University Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police said alcohol may have been a factor in the wreck.
