A local family Tuesday showed their gratitude for the emergency workers who recently saved their lives from a house fire.
Mary Ann and Aaron Kelly were reunited with the people who saved them from a blaze two weeks ago. The family was asleep when the fire broke out at their home.
A smoke alarm went off and an emergency dispatcher with ADT called the home to confirm the fire. The Florida-based dispatcher then called Clark County firefighters, who arrived at the fire in minutes.
"I'm amazed. I mean, I was just doing my job. I was just doing what I was trained to do. This is what they train us to do. So, we know this comes with the job. I was just doing my job and I'm glad I helped save someone's life. This is really special to me," said ADT dispatcher Latasha Campbell.
All of the emergency workers involved in the rescue were honored in an awards ceremony at the Kelly home in Las Vegas Tuesday morning.
