LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police Monday released video of a June fatal stabbing incident in downtown Las Vegas in the hopes of identifying a suspect.

The security video clip shows the victim, identified as Louis James Kim, walking eastbound on a sidewalk in the 200 block of Baltimore Avenue, near the Stupak Community Center, about 8:25 p.m. June 21.

Kim approaches a street corner when he is assaulted by a person in dark-colored clothing. Kim was transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives said nothing was taken from the victim. Police believe the attack was random.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored "hoodie" sweatshirt and black shorts with a light-colored stripe on the side.

Police said the suspect was last seen walking in the north-south alleyway across from the 7-Eleven at 200 E. Boston Avenue.

Police urge anyone with information on the stabbing to contact Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
